2023 - 2024 Travel Team Information & Tryouts

The Lexington Thoroughbreds and CKHA are thrilled to announce our travel hockey tryouts for the upcoming 2023-2024 hockey season! If you are a passionate hockey player who wants to take your game to the next level, we invite you to tryout for our travel teams.

Our travel teams offer a competitive and supportive environment for players who are committed to improving their skills and competing at a higher level. Below is a brief summary of each of our travel programs being offered this coming season.

We are excited to build on the success of our previous seasons and continue to develop top-notch hockey players. We welcome players of all skill levels and backgrounds to try out for our teams and join our hockey family.

Team & Program Information

8U Travel A & B* (2015 - 2017) - $1200**

These teams will participate in the Buckeye Travel Hockey League. The team will receive 40 – 44 on ice practice hours (2x per week), 8 jamborees, and includes 2 tournament fees.
Players must also purchase Lexington Thoroughbreds Jersey and Socks.

10U Travel A (2013 - 2014) - $1600**

This team will participate in the Buckeye Travel Hockey League. The team will receive 52 – 56 on ice practice hours (2x per week), 24 – 32 games, and includes 2 tournament fees. Practices may begin as early as mid-September.
Players must also purchase Lexington Thoroughbreds Jersey and Socks.

12U Travel A (2011 - 2012) - $2100**

This team will participate in the Buckeye Travel Hockey League. The team will receive 70 - 76 on ice practice hours (2-3x per week), select full ice practice slots, off ice training program, 4 high performance weekends (pre-season), 34– 40 games, and includes 3 tournament fees. Practices may begin as early as late August/early September.
Players must also purchase Lexington Thoroughbreds Jersey and Socks.

14U Travel A (2009 - 2010) - $2200**

This team will participate in the Buckeye Travel Hockey League. The team will receive 70 - 76 on ice practice hours (2-3x per week), select full ice practice slots, off ice training program, 4 high performance weekends (pre-season), 34 – 40 games, and includes 3 tournament fees. Practices may begin as early as late August/early September.
Players must also purchase Lexington Thoroughbreds Jersey and Socks.

High School Varsity (2006 -2009) - $2300**

This team will participate in the Kentucky High School Hockey League. The team will receive 76 - 84 on ice practice hours (2-3x per week), select full ice practice slots, off ice training program, pre-season team specific clinics, 30 - 36 games, and includes 3 tournament fees. Practices may begin as early as late August/early September.
Players must also purchase Lexington Thoroughbreds Jersey and Socks.

10U/12U Travel B* (2011 - 2014) - $1400**

These teams will participate in the Buckeye Travel Hockey League. The team will receive 44 - 48 on ice practice hours (2x per week), 20 – 26 games, and includes 1 tournament fee. Practices may begin as early as mid/late September.
Players must also purchase Lexington Thoroughbreds Jersey and Socks.

14U Travel B* (2009 - 2010) - $1600**

This team will participate in the Buckeye Travel Hockey League. The team will receive 48 - 52 on ice practice hours (2x per week), 26 – 34 games, and includes 1 tournament fees. Practices may begin as early as mid/late September.
Players must also purchase Lexington Thoroughbreds Jersey and Socks.

Commitment Fee

Please note that if your hockey player is invited and accepts the invitation to play for any of the Travel A or HS Varsity programs, a commitment fee will be due within 72 hours following the final announcement of teams. Commitment fees are non-refundable and reduce your overall participation fee noted above. Payment plans for the remaining fee will be available with standard registration.

Commitment fees are as follows:

8UA - $250 10UA/12UA/14UA/HS Varsity - $400
10UA/12UA/14UA/HS Varsity - $400
