Equipment Rental

At CKHA, we understand that trying out a new sport like hockey can come with a lot of upfront costs, especially when it comes to equipment. That’s why we’re pleased to offer an equipment rental program specifically for our Learn to Play (LTP) participants. This allows your child to enjoy the game without the immediate need to invest in purchasing gear. We want to make it easy and affordable for your family to get started while ensuring that our equipment is well-maintained for everyone.

• Eligibility: Equipment rental is available exclusively to participants registered in a CKHA program. If your child stops participating, the rented equipment must be returned promptly.
• Rental Period: You can rent equipment for either a single Learn to Play (LTP) session or for the entire season, all for a flat fee of $40.
• Payment: All rental fees are payable online only. Please ensure that your payment is completed before attempting to pick up your equipment. Multiple rentals for siblings can be handled in a single transaction.
• No Deposit Required: While we do not require a deposit, we do enforce a strict return policy. If the equipment is not returned by the end of the season, the billing card on file will be charged a $200 replacement fee.
• Sizing and Fit: Equipment sizes are limited, but our team will do everything possible to ensure your child is fitted with gear that is both comfortable and appropriate. Proper fit is crucial for safety and enjoyment on the ice.
• Pick-Up Procedure: After completing your rental form online, please print your confirmation email and bring it with you when picking up the equipment.e. This confirmation will be collected upon pick-up and returned when the equipment is turned in at the end of the rental period.
• Pick-Up Timing: We recommend arriving at least 45 minutes to 1 hour before your child’s ice time for gear pick-up. This allows adequate time for proper fitting and accommodates other families also picking up equipment.
• Return Policy: When returning your equipment, do not leave the gear without retrieving your confirmation. Failure to do so may result in your billing card being charged for unreturned equipment.
• Important Reminders: All equipment rentals and payments must be handled online. Equipment cannot be rented or paid for at the Lexington Ice Center or through any CKHA representative on site.
