8u travel wrapped up their season with games in Miami of Ohio, Indianapolis, and Troy at home.

8u travel wrapped up their season with games in Miami of Ohio, Indianapolis, and finally a set of games vs Troy at home. To say this season was a success is an understatement. These kids started the year with a wide age range from 2014s-2016s but that did not stop them from facing and winning against some tough older teams. Our trip to Indy was our first short handed set of games this season and the 8u Thoroughbreds rose to the challenge. They skated hard, played well as a team, and worked on getting their passing game down. 

The following week we closed our season with games at home. During these games we passed the puck, played great defense, and overall played very well as a team. This set of games really showed off how far we have come this season and how much work each of these kids has put into improving their playing ability both on and off the ice. 

With the end of the season we bid farewell to four players who will be moving up to 10u (GG Gerken, Axel Lott, Jack Sarlls, and Ashton Payne). We can’t wait to see what great things you all do in your new division! 

Overall, 8u travel had a really fun year that showed lots of improvement (a reflection of all of our awesome coaches). We can’t wait to hit the ice again next year and look forward to welcoming new faces!
